Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the live train speed test.

Why is my train speed meter showing 0 km/h?

If the speedometer is stuck at zero, your phone is likely losing its GPS connection. This commonly happens when the train is passing through a tunnel, under a heavy steel bridge, or if you are sitting in the middle aisle away from a window.

Does this live train speed test work offline?

You need an internet connection to initially load this webpage. However, once the page is loaded and the speed test has started, the tool relies purely on your device's internal GPS chip. It will continue to calculate your speed even if you pass through a low-network coverage area.

Is checking my train speed online accurate?

Yes. Our web app requests 'High-Accuracy' coordinates directly from your device's GPS hardware, using the exact same satellite triangulation method as native speedometer apps, providing highly precise km/h readings.
